In my current role as Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Market Segment Romania, I am responsible for positioning the Capgemini brand on the local Romanian market. The best part of this is that I get to collaborate with a lot of different people from all around the world – and I get the chance to see how our company’s reputation unfolds throughout different channels. But it’s not just about the marketing, it’s about showing to people that Capgemini is really about our core seven Values, and creating a better future for us all. What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini? I would say the way it nurtures you as an individual and professional. When I started at Capgemini Romania four years ago, I came from a very different work environment and culture. I can honestly say I knew almost nothing about technology or consultancy. But my manager gave me a chance and saw my potential, so she decided I would be a good fit. It turns out she was right! Even though I didn’t know it at the time! I’ve found here at Capgemini an amazing group of people that has supported me through various roles: from Project Management Officer to Bid Manager, and now Marketing and Communications. So, what I really love about this company is that it takes you in and gives you a path to follow. Capgemini has given me so many opportunities over the last four years, it has shaped my career and helped me discover what I really want to do. I feel that I have grown so much and learned a lot, and I still have many new and exciting things to learn. What makes you proud to work at Capgemini? We are a family, no matter where we are in the world. The way we collaborate, help, and support each other never ceases to amaze me. What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini? Have an open mind and explore all the opportunities you can. You have an amazing network of colleagues all around the world and you can rely on their help and knowledge. Don’t worry if you don’t know everything. If you ask for help, someone will be there for you, whether they are in Romania, the UK, the USA, India, or Argentina.
